The Reverend Scott R. McAnally or ‘PScott’ as he is known, is all about building relationships and community rooted in the gospel message of hope. This begins with worship and our worship life together, as we come and hear, taste, and see the goodness of God’s grace in our lives each and every Sunday and through all of life’s milestones of faith.
PScott is a native of Southern California and a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor degree in Music Performance and Education. He earned his Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota. Currently, PScott is working on his Doctor of Ministry degree from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia with a focus on the theology of renewing sacred worship spaces for the 21st century.
PScott completed his Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, Washington; and did his ministry internship at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Austin, Texas, where he grew very fond of eating BBQ. PScott was ordained on October 9, 2004 in Fort Collins, Colorado and served as Associate Pastor at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Great Falls, Virginia, part of the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area until being called to serve as Pastor of Lutheran Church of Hope in May of 2009.
PScott and his wife Jennifer, a native of Arizona, were married in January 2004, and have two young boys, Stephen and Jacob. As a family they enjoy working and playing outdoors with long walks, games, and picnics. PScott and Jen enjoy a good theatre show and/or concert, attending sporting events, wine tasting, bbq’ing on the grill, and being with friends and family.
When PScott isn’t at the office, you can find him at the golf course, riding his bicycle, or even sometimes at the rink playing some ice hockey – and of course on Saturday afternoons in the fall, watching college football and rooting for his favorite team, the CSU Rams. GO RAMS!
His office door is always open, so be sure to stop in and say "Howdy!" on your visit to Lutheran Church of Hope.
