Dear Friends of Lutheran Church of Hope,

Peace be with you and welcome to the 2024-25 Annual Mission Appeal for the General Fund entitled “Lutheran Church of Hope: It’s the People!”

For 60+ years, LCHope has been a community of imperfect people, trying to figure out what it means to follow Jesus together. How do we do that? Well, our mission statement says it all. Lutheran Church of Hope proclaims Jesus as Lord and Savior by worshipping together, making disciples of all, reaching out to spread God’s word, and providing loving support to all.

The General Fund for Ministry exists to fund the daily operations of that mission—to fund both the programs and ministries themselves as well as the staff leadership that equips and empowers us to be Lutheran Church of Hope in this time and place.

And yes, while ministries and programs are exciting, life-changing, and transformational, I bet you would agree that it’s the people who really bring ministry alive. It’s the people with whom we worship, pray, and make music. It’s the people with whom we grow in faith. It’s the people with whom we serve. It’s the people with whom we care for others.

It’s the people who bring faith and this community alive through the Holy Spirit. As we journey towards Partner-in-Mission Sunday, I invite you to join Jen and me in giving generously to the Annual Mission Appeal by making a partner-in-mission commitment for our 61st year of ministry together as the people of LCHope.

Thanks be to God for you,
