Pastor Scott McAnally

It all started when…

The Reverend Doctor Scott R. McAnally or ‘PScott’ as he is known, has been serving Lutheran Church of Hope (LCHope) since the summer of 2009.  PScott's leadership has been inspirational and pivotal in areas of worship and liturgy, mission advancement, strategic planning, and pastoral care.

PScott is a native of Southern California and a graduate of Colorado State University with a Bachelor degree in Music Performance and Education. He earned his Masters of Divinity from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2004, and completed his Doctor of Ministry Degree in Worship and Liturgy from the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia in 2013.  His doctoral project was entitled, “A Gathering Place: Strategic Planning for Renewing Liturgical Space for a 21st Century ELCA Congregation”

Prior to his call at LCHope, PScott served as Associate Pastor at Christ the King Lutheran in Great Falls, Virginia, in the Metropolitan Washington, D.C. area. Along with the pastoral office at Lutheran Church of Hope, PScott has served in roles in both churchwide and synodical ministries since being ordained, along with serving on the Advisory Board for A Precious Child here in Colorado since 2016.

PScott and his wife Jennifer, a native of Arizona, were married in January 2004, and have two boys, Stephen and Jacob. As a family they enjoy golfing together, as well as spending time in the mountains.  PScott and Jen enjoy a good theatre show and/or concert, attend sporting events, wine tasting, good bbq, and being with family and friends.

When PScott isn’t in the office, you can find him on the golf course or out for a run – and of course on Saturday afternoons in the fall, watching college football and rooting for his favorite team, the CSU Rams. GO RAMS!
