A Note from Kelly
Hello! I am Kelly Marsh, and I am excited to join the staff at Lutheran Church of Hope as Director of Communications! I have a deep passion for storytelling, community, and faith, and I bring a unique blend of media experience and ministry heart to the role.
Originally from Seguin, Texas, I grew up in Loveland, Colorado, and earned my Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Theater from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
Before joining the team at LCHope, I worked as a television news reporter in Roanoke, Virginia, covering everything from local features to breaking news. After a couple years in the fast-paced world of journalism, I felt a strong pull to step away from chasing headlines and instead focus on sharing stories of hope, faith, and community. I am so grateful for the chance to serve the church in a whole new way—one that feels deeply aligned with my purpose and heart for ministry.
My faith has been shaped by more than a decade of summers at Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp, first as a camper and later as a counselor. It’s also where I met my fiancé—proof that the Holy Spirit sometimes works through campfire songs and s’mores. We’re getting married next month and currently share life with our 100+ pound hound dog, Bogey, who thinks he’s a lap dog.
At LCHope, I am excited to lead communication strategies that support the mission and ministries of the church, helping to share the good news in creative and compelling ways. Whether crafting digital content, connecting with the congregation, or telling the stories of how God is at work, I can’t wait to get to work!
When I’m not behind a camera or a keyboard, you’ll likely find me spending time with family and friends, exploring the outdoors with Bogey, or trying new restaurants.
