Blessed be the Memory

Virginia Louise Hecht

November 22, 1922 – May 12, 2026

Our Sister in Christ, Virginia Louise Hecht, 103 years young, claimed the promise of her baptism in the early morning hours of Tuesday, May 12, 2026 surrounded by her children.  An incredible faithful woman of faith Virginia loved the faith and the church, being a member at St. Andrew’s Lutheran before transferring to LCHope after Holy Closure.

Virginia Louise Hecht , beloved child of God

PScott joined with family gathered on Sunday after worship for the commendation of the dying right as well as holy communion late week.  The Valley of Hope Spire tolled 103 times today announcing Virginia’s death to the greater community.

Virginia loved the 23rd Psalm, and so its to those words we now turn, recognizing that we indeed have a Shepherd who walks with us in the valleys of death – protecting us with rod and staff.  And its in the arms of God’s love and grace, where goodness and mercy shall follow us all of our days.  Dear Virgina now rests from her labors in the presence of God the almighty.

We surround Virgina’s children, Mari, Joanna, and John, and their families as they grieve.  Virginia’s Liturgy of Resurrection will be held at LCHope’s Chapel of the Crosses on Friday, June 5th with time still being determined.

Blessed be the Memory of Virginia Louise Hecht.

β€œRest eternal, grant her O Lord; and let perpetual light shine upon her.”
