Building Team|April Update
On April 9th, the building team met for several hours with representatives from IDG (architectural design team) and KCI (pre-construction services) to discuss logistics, permitting, and budget.
Logistical discussions centered around access to the campus. Topics included construction perimeter fencing. Water drainage, Boy Scout access to storage, Oktobeerfest access to storage, construction noise mitigation, location of dumpster, mailbox location, VBS access needs to campus, parking areas, construction material lay down area, and pathways for trucks through campus.
The permitting process has a deadline next Tuesday, April 14th. Beyond that date, new regulations kick in that will add significant costs to the project to be compliant.
The construction budget was reviewed. There are a few specific areas where KCI is gathering more information, so they consider the budget to have 90% percent confidence.
