Capital Finance Team Minutes

February 27, 2024 – 8:00 a.m.

Opening Prayer:  Pastor Scott

Agenda items:

A.     Review status of excess Building Fund transfer to CD’s or a money market account. Have any more transfers been made?

·      Trustees approved transfer of building funds to an interest bearing account other than Vectra bank leaving a balance of $50,000 in the Vectra account.

B.     Status of Dan’s ongoing reconciliation.

·      Dan Hartman reconciled the accounts on 2/14/24.  All accounts are withing ~$10.

C.     Status of Cheryl’s reconciliations.

·      Dan Hartman has not met with Cheryl.  He hopes to do this the week of 2/26/24.

D.    Pledge Status:  Any new pledges?   

·      No new pledges

·      New member acceptance is 3/17/24 after the service.  Sandy, Mac and Vic will be attending.

E.     Old Business: New Digital Sign

·      Electrical/Foundation complete. This Permit should be closed out.

·      Sign Installation will start after foundation concrete has cured, probably in two weeks. Goal is to have it running for Easter!

·      Landscaping will require some repair.

F.      New Business:   Notes from Marie:

·      The watches were sold for gold value and credited to the givers.  They were satisfied with the result.

·      Continuing work on the insurance policies.   I will get with Bill re: recording in Walshware.

·      Planning to send Giving Statements the last full week of March.  I want to include a very short letter from our team with these.  Marie needs input for the letter: including data/numbers/important dates/build timelines…. 

·      Wondering about the timeline for putting together some folders for the new member visits…?  I haven’t done anything with that yet.

·      Could we return to having a short blurb in the eAnchor every 3rd Sunday?  For March it could be as simple as “Keep an eye out for your Capital Campaign giving statement the last week of March!”  or something similar

F.1.  Building Committee update:

·      The pricing project has been completed and will be presented on 2/12/24 to the building committee.
